Spiderman burglar on the loose

7/10/2007 2:35:00 PM.  | Anil Lambert Patel

The Police Minister is warning apartment dwellers in central Sydney to lock their balcony doors after a spate of death-defying robberies.

A cat burglar has apparently been using rock climbing skills to break into flats 30 stories up, before escaping via fire exits.

David Campbell says police are on the case, but those in the area should be wary.

“I think there are two messages, one is for the community to come forward with any information or evidence.”

“The other is for people in our community to understand that police are working to catch this burglar but at the same time those people in the city should take care of their security.”
