West Australian police said the parents of a Perth toddler who died after being left in a car in extreme heat - won't be charged.
The girl was apparently left accidentally in the car outside the family's home in Maddington, in the city's southeast, for about two hours on Sunday.
Her parents returned home about 3pm (WDT) before leaving again in another car without her, police said.
The couple, who have seven children, drove to Fremantle to pick up two other daughters, and when they returned, they realised their youngest child was missing.
The girl, whose name has not been released, was found, reportedly by a sibling, a short time later.
Attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful.
The incident has prompted fresh warnings about the dangers of leaving kids in cars during summer.
The victim was left behind in temperatures of up to 34 degrees, police are questioning the parents.
Inspector Trevor Davis from WA Police says the parents allegedly forgot their daughter was in the car when they arrived home.
“Realising the two-year-old was not in the house they searched for her and found her still in the motor vehicle," he said.
“Efforts were made to resuscitate the child by the parents. St Johns arrived and found the child decease
