The planned apology to the stolen generation in parliament next week has been slammed by aboriginal activist Michael Mansell.
Mr Mansell says its widely believed there'll be no reference to genocide and there'll be emphasis on the good intentions of administrators, officials and missionaries.
He says it sounds more like an apology to those who did the moving than those removed.
The Rudd government has also come under fire for not adequately consulting indigenous groups about the content of the statement.
