Dr Death ordered to pay his own legal costs

29/03/2008 4:24:00 PM.  | Kelly Fedor
A US court has ordered the man dubbed Doctor Death to pay his own legal costs as he fights extradition to Australia.

Dr Jayant Patel has applied to have American taxpayers fund the battle.

Patel is expected to have to pay tens of thousands of dollars in his defence because of America’s lengthy extradition process.

I think people should stop referring to Patel as Dr Death , this isnt helping when he states he wont get a fair trial. I am a patient of the accused Doctor and believe the court system will do the right thing. To say the man wont get a fair trial is absurd, it doesnt say much about the people of Queensland, of course you will find 12 independant people. So please let the aurthorities do what they need to so us people of Bundaberg can get justice and get on with our lives.
