Al Gore says climate change situation is worsening

21/04/2008 11:07:00 AM.  |
Nobel Peace Prize-winner Al Gore says there's been no improvement in the fight against climate change, since his Oscar-winning film "An Inconvenient Truth" hit cinemas in 2006.

In fact, the former US vice-president says the situation's become worse.

Mr Gore's told London's Sun newspaper awareness has grown, and more people are concerned since scientists said we had just 10 years to take action to halt rising sea levels.

"Sure, awareness has grown and more people are concerned since scientists said we had just 10 years to take action to halt rising sea levels. But the situation has got worse.”

He says the entire North Polar ice cap is melting and could be gone in some areas in as little as five years.

Isn't it amazing how these stories surface - more distraction just after the KevFest - I'm sick of this filthy scoundral Al Gore the hypocrite - he is out there getting richer and yet the gullible will believe this rubbish! - I'd like to see Al Gore disappear onto the big black hole.

There are also scientists who advocate climate change is a natural occurrence, yet many discount these scientists and listen to Al Gore who is not even one! What credibility does Mr Gore have when speaking on a topic which does not seem to fit into his expertise?

Anyone else smell "An Even More Inconvenient Truth" coming on ? (Speak with a Peggy from "Married with Children" fame) Way to go, Al ! A very convenient truth for me is knowing that Al is either making another movie or is going to be a late contender for President. I believe the latter just might be true.

Al Gore has a cattle ranch and a huge mansion. He refuses to acknowledge the contribution of livestock to global warming. Methane is accummulating and is 21 times a more powerful atmospheric warmer than CO2. So many forests have been lost, and carbon sinks too due to grazing. Our rising population and their carnivorous diets is killing off our planet.

Al Gore profits from the alarmism. Of course he wants people to spend more on buying his things. I just think he wants to get richer. He wants an international piece prize .. having a piece of everything.
