Power cut to 500 homes after pole smash

Power has been cut to about 500 homes on Brisbane's southside after a car crashed into an electricity pole.

An Energex spokesman said the car slammed into the pole on the corner of Norton St and Logan Road at Mount Gravatt about 7am (AEST).

The spokesman said crews were working to repair the damage but power might not be restored for several hours.
