Sharks halfback Brett Kimmorley is expected to end weeks of speculation by signing with the Bulldogs as soon as this week.
The former Test No.7 has fallen out of favour at Cronulla and will be granted an early release by the club - despite a year remaining on his contract, News Limited reports.
Kimmorley had been linked with the Dragons in a possible switch for prop Jason Ryles, but is now reportedly Belmore-bound on a two or three year deal.
Kimmorley's manager, George Mimis, will not confirm any deals have been struck but when asked if Kimmorley would sign later this week, he responded "possibly".
Brisbane rake Michael Ennis is also being chased by the Bulldogs with the Broncos yet to activate an extension option in his contract.
The Dogs will be desperate to snare their two high-profile targets after struggling in the halves department throughout the early stages of 2008.
Their lack of depth was horribly exposed as the injury-ravaged outfit was trounced by Penrith 30-4 on Saturday night.
