Cronulla half Brett Kimmorley will join the Bulldogs from 2009 after today signing a two-year deal with the club.
Kimmorley, who has been granted a release from the final year of his contract with the Sharks, will play out the remainder of the season with the Sutherland Shire club before heading to Belmore next year.
The Bulldogs are desperately short of quality playmakers and have this week rushed through the signing of Penrith reject Joe Williams to take on the Titans on Friday night.
Kimmorley brings with him a top-class rugby league CV, having won a premiership with Melbourne and represented New South Wales and Australia.
He has already played under incoming Bulldogs coach Kevin Moore, who has acted as an assistant coach with both the Blues and the Kangaroos.
