Teenager busted trying to import cocaine in footy gear

A teenager is behind bars after being caught trying to smuggle as much as two kilograms of cocaine hidden in parcels of football memorabilia.

The-19-year-old is facing up to 25 years in jail and a $55,000 thousand fine over the discovery of the drugs sent from Argentina.

He is expected to front court again on Monday charged with attempting to possess a marketable quantity of a border controlled drug.
