The woman sacked after blowing the whistle on pedophile MP Milton Orkopoulos says its time the NSW government got "fair dinkum" about compensation.
Orkopoulos, the former Aboriginal affairs minister, locked his electorate officer Gillian Sneddon out of their Newcastle office in 2006 after learning she was helping police investigate claims made against him.
The 50-year-old Orkopoulos faces the prospect of 15 years in jail after being convicted in March of grooming three boys with drugs for sex between 1995 and 2006.
Ms Sneddon said she remained unemployed and "really depressed".
Unable to sleep without medication, she said the loss of her $70,000-a-year job had forced her into selling her home.
"I have spoken to my solicitor, so he is drawing up a contract for that," she told Macquarie Radio.
"I'll have to (sell) because I can't live on, what, $300 and a little bit a week (in workers compensation)."
Ms Sneddon said her $66,000 redundancy entitlement had been rolled into Legislative Assembly Speaker Richard Torbay's recent offer of a $100,000 payout.
"They haven't even addressed why I was locked out of the office," she said.
"When I went to see Richard Torbay I gave him a list of at least 16 questions ... and my barrister was with me, and my solicitor.
"I said, 'okay, whatever my barrister is saying, that issue is separate, these are things that concern me that I want addressed', and nothing has been done to address any of them.
"The letter (from Mr Torbay) was written to my solicitor and straight away, as soon as my solicitor told me what it was, I said 'you know where they can put that'."
Ms Sneddon said the apology component of the payout offer was just $33,000, and agreed the NSW government needed to make a "fair-dinkum" offer.
"I've had an absolute gutful," she said.
Mr Torbay told Fairfax an ex-gratia payment was appropriate for Ms Sneddon.
"I made the offer in good faith and she is still able to make her worker's compensation claim," he said.
Ms Sneddon reportedly said she considered the offer an "absolute insult".
Orkopoulos will learn his fate on Wednesday in Newcastle District Court when he is sentenced on 30 child sex and drugs charges.
