Activists are planning action at the site of a kangaroo cull today and tomorrow, after it began at a defence site in Canberra yesterday.

The stop-start cull of about 400 eastern grey kangaroos has attracted international media attention.
The Defence Department says it's necessary to protect native grasslands and threatened species, and avoid starvation among the kangaroos.
