Looking for a bargain? Head to the shops on Friday

25/05/2008 7:45:00 AM.  | Gillian Cannon
Friday appears to be the best day to head down to the shops to pick up your weekly groceries.

New research has found supermarkets roll out specials at the end of the week -making it possible to knock as much as 20 per cent off the total bill.

But it might not be easy to access the bargains - the researchers are warning shelves are often not stocked and there's more of a crowd.

...and why isn't Kevin Rudd claiming responsibility for this? Surely Friday shopping is putting "downward pressure on grocery prices" and helping "working families". (By the way, watch for the next BIG "I'm not doing anything " Rudd distraction...it will be ANOTHER enquiry into AWB!)
