Patrick Swayze has spoken out abut his cancer battle.

The 'Dirty Dancing' actor says he is responding well to the treatment for pancreatic cancer and is leading a full and busy life with his wife Lisa.

He told People magazine: "Lisa and I have been back and forth from New Mexico enjoying the arrival of spring and new baby calves.

"This past weekend, we spent a fun time with friends in Reno for Lisa's birthday, where I took her jewellery shopping at Kenny G and Company and (we) were able to find her something really special and much deserved!

"In the meantime, I am continuing treatment at Stanford and the great news is I continue to respond well."

The 55-year-old actor was also seen in the crowd at an LA Lakers basketball game last Friday (23.05.08).

Last week, it was claimed Patrick and Lisa recently renewed their wedding vows.

A source close to the 'Point Break' actor said: "Patrick is refusing to give up, and has decided right now to just live for today. It was very important to Patrick to express his love and commitment to Lisa. They both mean the world to one another."

Patrick revealed he had pancreatic cancer in March.
