An Australian woman has collapsed at a Vietnamese airport when bags containing heroin burst in her stomach.
35-year-old Tran Thi Ngoc Dung, of Vietnamese origin was reportedly boarding a flight to Australia on Sunday when she fell unconscious - doctors finding two condoms filled with the drug inside her.
The woman is under police guard in hospital - drug traffickers face the death sentence in Vietnam.
About a dozen Vietnamese-Australians have been brought to court in Vietnam for heroin trafficking in recent years.
At least four have had their death sentences commuted because of lobbying by the Australian government, which banned the death penalty in 1973.
