Clinton bows out of Presidential race

7/06/2008 1:00:00 PM.  | Gillian Cannon
Senator Hillary Clinton is proud of the effort she made trying to win the Democratic nomination for President.

Clinton will bow out of the race at an event in Washington on tomorrow and formally endorse rival Barack Obama.

Her Campaign Chairman, Terry McAuliffe, says the former First Lady has nothing to be unhappy about.

“It was a great campaign - 17 months – everybody worked their hearts out.”

“You look at Hillary talking about her breaking the glass ceiling, I think she shattered it.

“She got in, she got more than 18 million votes,” he said.

Senator Clinton or may I call her Hillary is an inspiration to myself as a woman and my four daughters and two sons A woman can be a leader have dignity and not lose her values, she cares about others and her country but I believe her compassion goes a lot futher Well done it is sad Hillary did not win the election BUT I believe she has won and earned a far greater prize, the love and respect of Millions of people and the admiration of so many. I for one repeat Well Done
