Leisel Jones is set to have precautionary scans on her niggling groin injury just a month out from the Olympics.
The dual world record holder sat out the Australian swim team's final hit-out before the Beijing Games this weekend, opting to allow her body more time to recover from the complaint.
"I will have a couple of scans on it to see and make sure it isn't too serious - which it won't be," she said.
"I am very fortunate to have a good team on board that will certainly fix it up for me."
The 22-year-old breaststroke star, who is favoured to collect three Olympic gold medals in China, said it wasn't worth risking a more serious injury by competing in Sydney this weekend.
"If I wanted to race I probably could have, but I thought there was no point forcing it," said Jones, who produced some very impressive times in Europe last month.
The five-time Olympic medallist said she felt in a good place in the lead-up to the Beijing Games starting August 8.
"I think I have just got everything together at the moment," she said.
"I have put in the hard training and I am that little bit more mature now.
"I have been to two Olympics before and I know exactly what goes on and know exactly how this game is played."
