A major protest against coal has led to at least 40 arrests in Newcastle.
Up to 1,000 protesters halted the movement of coal, demanding action on Climate Change.
Georgina Woods from Camp for Climate Action says they successfully stopped coal trains from moving in or out of the Carrington terminal for at least six hours.
"Every hour that we stopped it, that's the equivalent of 6,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide worth of coal stopped from being sent to the port and burnt overseas and into the atmosphere."
