Nikki Webster...the gay icon?

14/07/2008 9:00:00 AM.  |

At the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympics, she was floating above Homebush stadium like an angel. But in 2008, things have headed decidedly south for Nikki Webster - who has now taken to performing in gay clubs until the small hours.

Webster, 21, performed at the Sleaze Ball last year in an attempt to mature her image, and has also taken to performing at gay nightclub Midnight Express.

The 'Strawberry Kisses' singer opened a performing arts school in February this year with her brother Sam. Its uncertain if gay nightclub performance is part of the curriculum, but we will keep you posted.
