Women arrested for beach sex competition

15/07/2008 1:57:00 PM.  | Jesse Perez

Nine women have been arrested and face prostitution charges after they took part in an oral sex contest on the Greek island of Zakynothos.

The women had been asked to take part in the competition, and had been paid for their participation. The contest would be filmed and posted on an internet website, police said.

The incident took place in Laganas beach, south of the Ionian island, off the West coast of mainland Greece.

Twelve men have also been charged with encouraging obscene behavior.

The island is a popular tourist attraction, and one of Greece’s most popular holiday destinations for young holiday makers.

Off The Wall says: Police did not release details of the winner of the event.
