A man, who admitted to his role in the gruesome murders of a Nowra couple, has been sentenced to at least seven years jail.

In January 2006, cyclists discovered burning barrels in bush land on the NSW south coast.

Inside were the bodies of Greg Hosa, 56, and his wife Kathryn McKay, 44.

Three people were found guilty over the murders – one has already been jailed and the other is yet to be sentenced.

33-year-old Andrew Wayne Flentjar admitted to kidnapping the pair, who had been lured to a Nowra home where they were bound and hog tied.

During sentencing the Justice Terence Buddin told the court the couple had been utterly defenseless.

Flentjar will be eligible for parole in 2013.
