Key Wallabies forward Nathan Sharpe believes the All Blacks will be fired up for their Tri-Nations clash in Auckland tomorrow night, as they fight to keep their campaign alive.
Regardless of Australia’s 34-19 win last week over their trans-Tasman rivals, Sharpe is expecting the All-Blacks to throw everything including the kitchen sink at the Australians, with last week’s loss having hit the All Blacks where it hurts.
"Any national team, when you play them at home, is a different animal - we're expecting exactly that against the All Blacks on Saturday night," Sharpe told News Limited.
Following the criticism dished out to the All Blacks after last week’s loss, Sharpe is expecting a no-holds barred approach from the under-pressure Kiwis.
“I suppose they come out and throw the kitchen sink at you," he said.
"And that's what we're going to do to them. So there are going to be a few kitchen sinks flying around."
Meanwhile Wallabies coach Robbie Deans reiterated Sharpe's thoughts about the cauldron awaiting the Wallabies in Auckland.
“No Wallaby side has prevailed there (at Eden Park) since 1986, so those sort of things don't happen lightly," stated Deans.
The Wallabies have not won in New Zealand since 2001 when they triumphed in Dundedin and Sharpe is eager to taste victory over the All Blacks on their turf.
"I think this side is very well equipped to deal with the All Blacks and hopefully that will come to fruition Saturday night," he said.
