Sydney FC: Kosmina to blood four rookies

15/08/2008 12:00:00 PM.  | AAP

Sydney FC coach John Kosmina has been forced into blooding four debutants for his side's A-League season opener against traditional rivals Melbourne Victory.

Seventeen-year-old striker Chris Payne and 24-year-old set piece specialist Shannon Cole are set to play in Saturday’s match at the Sydney Football Stadium, with defender Ryan Walsh and playmaker Robbie Mileski to be named on the bench.

Kosmina’s hand has been forced after losing a host of players to injury and suspension, including new marquee striker John Aloisi.
