Teacher charged for photographing students

15/08/2008 12:10:00 PM.  | AAP
A 39-year-old Broome school teacher has been charged with taking video images of students using a mobile phone.

Police said in April this year children at the school complained to their headmaster, who then reported the matter to police.

Detectives issued a search warrant at a house in Broome and seized several mobile phones.

The Sex Crime Division conducted interviews and later charged the teacher with two counts of indecently recording a child under the age of 13.

The man, whose name has been withheld, is due to appear in the Broome Magistrates Court on Monday.
