There is further incentive for a leadership challenge in the Iemma government amid more bad polling.

Things have gone from bad to worse for the Iemma government, not even the success of World Youth Day breaking its four month slump in the polls.

On a two party preferred basis, the state opposition is still enjoying the same four-point lead over Labor that it's held since MAY.

While Premier Morris Iemma's dissatisfaction rating has improved slightly dropping to 60 per cent, but only 32 per cent of voters choose Mr Iemma as their preferred premier.
