Almost half of Australian motorists have admitted to having sex while behind the wheel, in a new survey which reveals frightening statistics about our dodgy driving habits.
Mobile phone use is an obvious offence, with tough penalties already enforced for the 50 per cent of people who text and drive.
But there is no such penalty for the 43 per cent who confessed to engaging in sexual acts while driving.
“Our recent poll uncovered some pretty frightening statistics and has also exposed some blatant double standards among respondents,” says Drive.cam.au’s Senior Writer Richard Blackburn.
“For example, 63 per cent of Drive.com.aunet poll voters say smoking while driving should be banned because it is dangerous, but a whopping 93 per cent admit they’ve eaten at the wheel.”
