It's been nearly two years since she performing in her home country, but the wait is over - Kylie Minogue is expected to announce dates for the Australian leg of her 2008 “X” tour this week.
Promoter king Michael Gudinski has been pushing to get the Aussie icon back down under for several months following the runaway success of her 2006 “Showgirl” tour.
“The reason I hadn’t confirmed dates in Australia is, I really didn’t know what I was getting into,” Minogue said in a statement at the weekend.
“But now I know. I have a show that breathes and changes and is dependent on people’s moods and environment. I can’t wait to bring it home.”
The tour could be limited to only a few dates per capital city due to Minogue’s continuing health problems following her diagnosis with breast cancer in 2005.
Minogue had to reschedule her “Showgirl” tour to undergo treatment.
Later, Minogue told Ellen DeGeneres she was misdiagnosed with the disease, saying that "because someone is in a white coat and using big medical instruments doesn't necessarily mean they're right".
