The Sydney Harbour Bridge will play host to breakfast for 20,000 people next year, as part of a massive new tourism campaign.
NSW Premier Nathan Rees is expected to reveal the event today as part of the state's first 'major events calendar'.
The event is expected to be a world first, catered by the city’s top chefs - with cars replaced with over 1,000 tables.
The breakfast is one idea in a series of events, planned to make October a month of lifestyle and cultural events across Sydney.
The breakfast is said to take place on the last Sunday of October, 2009 – costing only $20.
Events NSW boss Jeff Parmenter told News Ltd, the aim is to keep it affordable.
“It is important that anyone who wants to go can go,” Parmenter said.
“We need to do more to sell Sydney than just tell people that we had a bridge and an Opera House.”
