Harbour Bridge motorists charged double

A faulty e-tag reader on the Sydney Harbour Bridge has been charging some drivers twice.

The scanner is at the Northern end at the entrance to the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

It was installed on the 14th of September, and the mistake may have credited an extra $4 million into RTA accounts.

Drivers who've been double-billed are assured they will receive a full refund.

But how do we know that every driver will be refunded? Is the RTA sure they have all the innocent drivers on record? If it was a faulty scanner......say no more!

if this was a private company they would be before the courts before you knew it.how do you know unless you check your bill this isn't happening all the time
