A doctor accused of offering ecstasy to a patient while she was recovering from a stillbirth, will front court for the second time today.
The incident allegedly occurred at a New Year's Eve party the woman was hosting in 2004, the NSW Medical Tribunal was told yesterday.
The Central Coast doctor had told party guests to treat the woman with care, due to her fragile state, but later approached her asking, 'do you want an eccy?'
"(The doctor) was walking through my loungeroom at the time, I'd just checked on the children, he said 'do you want an eccy?'," the woman recalled.
"I said no. I was very, very shocked that he would say that, knowing my situation. That's why I remembered it so clearly."
The doctor is also fighting charges of professional misconduct, after another woman claimed the doctor had sex with her over 80 times in the surgery, and gave her cocaine.
She claims she and the doctor were in a five month relationship, and when things ended he blew up her car.
The two women who lodged complaints are said to be friends.
The hearing continues today.
