Bush sends Condoleezza Rice to India

1/12/2008 11:33:00 AM.  | AFP
President George W Bush is sending Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to India this week as a "further demonstration" of US solidarity with New Delhi in the wake of terror attacks in Mumbai, the White House announced Sunday.

Rice will arrive in New Delhi on Wednesday, on the heels of an already scheduled trip to attend a NATO meeting in Brussels Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said.

"Secretary Rice's visit to India is a further demonstration of the United States' commitment to stand in solidarity with the people of India as we all work together to hold these extremists accountable," Perino said in a statement.

What a great headline. "Bush sends Rice to India". It sounds like Food Aid but is Condoleeza Rice different to Basmati or Saffron Rice.

India must reserve the right to take whatever action that is necessary to put an end to the terrorism. If they come up with irrefutable evidence as to the source of the terror then they must seek International cooperation in destroying the source. If cooperation is not forthcoming they must take unilateral action. This cannot be allowed to continue
