Paris Hilton set to release new album on own independent label

Paris Hilton is set to release her new album on her own independent record label.
The hotel heiress will launch her second record under Heiress Records – the Warner Bros. sub-label she formed in 2004, but which has since parted ways with Warner Bros. - after failing to secure a deal with a major company.

Paris who failed to impress fans with her debut single ‘Stars are Blind’ and first album ‘Paris’, is hoping the new record will help establish her as a successful recording artist.

She explained: “I was really inspired by Kylie Minogue. I wrote every song on the record. It is a very personal album. My last album was very hip-hop... this is completely different.”

In October, the 27-year-old hotel heiress premiered the first song ‘My BFF’
(best friend forever) from her new record, on Ryan Seacrest’s US radio show.

Before the first play of the record, Paris said: "I just finished my album a couple of days ago. But this song I just wrote about best friends. I think anyone can relate to the song. It's a really happy song."

The single includes lyrics such as: "Could you be the one I want? Could you be the one I need? All of my life, don't you know I've been waiting... for my best friend.”

Paris’ spokesperson has confirmed she will be releasing the new album on Heiress Records, but would not comment on claims Heiress will be teaming up with a major record label for the release.

Go away Paris, you're boring and can't sing - give someone from Australian Idol a chance!
