Karaoke bar stormed by firebombing teens

5/12/2008 7:19:00 AM.  | Victoria Owens
A popular karaoke bar in Sydney's CBD has been targeted in a Molotov cocktail attack.

It was business as usual at Karaoke World on Elizabeth Street last night, when at nine o'clock a group stormed into the bar and began throwing flaming objects across the room.

The Molotov cocktails set the place alight, but luckily the fire sprinklers inside the business kicked in and extinguished the flames immediately.

No-one was injured, but the building has sustained significant damage.

Police say a group of teenagers was behind the attack.

They're now combing over CCTV footage of the firebombing incident.

No fear of being caught. No fear of a stiff prison sentence. Oh, but this happened in Sydney !

I hope when they catch the person that did it that they don't clam up and say they didn't do it. I want them to sing.

It used to be that bad singers were just booed off.

Karaoke has really hit rock bottom....I can't believe there are still karaoke venues...Australia Idol (Australia's biggest Karaoke competition) has also hit rock bottom. Thank goodness it is going to get cancelled due to lack of advertisers and interest from the public.
