The new Indiana Jones movie will open at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18 in its world debut, Variety reports.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull stars Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf and is the fourth in the swashbuckling series about the intrepid archaeologist/adventurer.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, it is the first Indiana Jones film in 19 years.
The report said Cannes organisers had yet to confirm the screening, as they were still working on the lineup for the May 14-25 bash.
But an official announcement should be forthcoming sometime in April once programmers get a look at the finished movie which Spielberg is still editing.
Spielberg last showed a movie at Cannes in 1982, when he premieres ET: The Extra-Terrestrial.
