Singer Shannon Noll has issued a grovelling apology to fans over a drunken performance at a concert on the weekend.
At Saturday’s CMC Rocks The Snowy’s festival at the Thredbo ski resort, Noll was booed and jeered by punters after stumbling and slurring his way through his set.
But after reports of his performance surfaced yesterday, Noll issued an unreserved apology to his fans, festival organisers, his band, and everybody else.
“I let everybody down and I am sincerely sorry,” he said in a statement.
“There is nothing more important to me than performing live, and I have always prided myself on giving 100 per cent to my fans.”
Concert-goer Deborah Parry told LIVENEWS.com.au Noll was a rambling mess and occasionally used offensive language.
“He was repeating himself the whole time, he let the f-word go a couple of times and then apologised because there could be kids around,” said Parry.
While Noll has issued an apology his management have not gone as far as to admit the Australian Idol runner up has a problem with alcohol. This is despite the stars 2005 conviction for drink driving.
