Naked women invade Sydney's QVB

Women from Lush Cosmetics around the country have discarded their clothing in the hopes of convincing the public that ‘Packaging is Rubbish’ - naked is better.

Shoppers in Sydney's Pitt St mall were informed about the 'bare' basics of green cosmetics - that unnecessary packaging is ultimately bad for the environment - by a group of women wearing nothing but their shop aprons with ‘Ask me why I'm naked’ written on the front.

While many shoppers were quite happy to stop and talk to the girls, a few found it confronting, and one elderly lady said she had more class than to ask why they were naked.

But the cheeky tactic certainly seems to have worked on potential male customers.

“I don't think I would have taken their flyer if they weren't naked,” one bloke told LIVENEWS.com.au.

It has been a chilly day. Still, if I had only known .. marketing works. It often isn't what the contents are, but the package which makes the sale.

With a name like Dicko and a rude manner like that, I guess you don't have a girlfriend and never will. I was in the city and saw the girls, I wouldn't of taken notice if they didn't have there clothes on, Its a shame we have to go to so much to make a point about the environment, So well done girls, I hope some people have changed there ways on packaging.

I agree with Lush, there is too much packaging now. It's unnecessary and got ridiculous. I love Lush's ethical products (environmentally and animal friendly) and they smell great!

Another stunt of nudity to "promote" a cause. As if Henson's nudity affair wasnt hot enough to stir the headlines. Getting naked is not going to solve any issue. Yes, you got the attention. And no, it was not due to public interest in excess packaging, but more so to look at the nakedness and feed their sexual nerves. Be honest to yourself, and half of you would agree that you couldn't care less about the packaging in your everyday life.
