Party brat-cum-reality TV star Corey Worthington would win Big Brother if he became a full housemate, according to an online bookmaker.
Gerard Daffy from Lasseters Sportsbook says if eligible the bottle-blonde teenager would be a clear favourite.
“I spend a lot of time on the forums and speak to people in general who pass comment on the show," he said.
"Perception of Corey Worthington has done an 180 degree about face in two weeks. It appears a lot of the housemates have warmed to him now and more importantly the public has – and the way the format of the show is now I’d very surprised if he made it into a bottom five.”
Lasseter’s currently have the squeaky voiced Travis as the most likely winner of the Channel Ten game show at $3.50, with ‘bush sheila’ Renee at $5.00 and the Japanese-speaking Nobbi at $5.50.
On an official online poll on the Big Brother site, 10 percent of viewers have voted Corey as their favourite person in the house – making him the third most popular housemate behind Renee and Travis.
Big Brother commentator and 2005 runner-up Tim Brunero says Corey is doing well because he has the all-important recognition factor.
“Big Brother is about getting involved in story-lines and giving people reasons to love you, Corey already has his own story-line so he’ll go far,” says Brunero.
But Corey’s introduction as a housemate would no doubt force a re-negotiation of the teenager’s contract. According to his mother, Corey is currently being paid $10,000 for every episode he appears in.
After a rocky start Corey has become a normal part of the small Gold Coast micro-community of fifteen.
After being booed a fortnight ago by a wild live crowd and initially appearing nervous and withdrawn, the globally famous party boy has charmed his housemates with Mr Bean impersonations, handstand displays and practical jokes.
