LATEST FEATURES

There's been a bizarre injury in Sydney's west, with a man gored by a deer.

The 26-year-old-man has been taken to Nepean Hospital with a thigh injury, after walking into the wrong paddock at the Berkshire Park Bird Farm.

The farm's owner Barry Hibbard says the deer is usually inaccessible and poses no danger to other visitors.

“That’s an area that’s off limits,” he explained.

“We have one stag that will come up to the wire - most people will know it because our clientele here are very regular – but he won’t come up to fence.”

Deers aren't noted carnivores. They are territorial, and will fight when they feel cornered.
