The Beijing Olympic torch relay will be altered, so the flame goes through earthquake-ravaged Sichuan province just before the Games.
The relay had come to a halt as China mourned victims of the earthquake, over a three-day period.
The torch was scheduled to pass through Tangshan, a city which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1976, leaving 240,000 people dead.
Now from August 3 to 5 the torch will instead take its journey through Sichuan.
So far it's had an easy time in mainland China, uninterrupted by the protests over Tibet and human rights that dogged its international tour.
