Lauren Huxley arrives at court to face attacker

13/06/2008 10:05:00 AM.  | Emily Smith
Lauren Huxley has arrived at the Supreme Court, where the man who tried to kill her will be sentenced.

For 23 days the then 18-year-old clung to life in intensive care.

In November 2005 Lauren was brutally attacked – she was bashed, doused in petrol then left to die in her burning Northmead home.

Last month it took a jury just three hours to convict Robert Black Farmer after hearing six weeks of evidence.

The 39-year-old faces up to 25 years jail after being found guilty on three charges, including attempted murder.

Lauren is a couragous and gutsy girl to face her would-be murder in court! Scum like this person should never be released. In fact, he is a good argument for capital punishment! We don't want these nobody psychopaths ever to be released. He has no empathy or no qualities that make him "human". Some criminals are described as "animals", but except for feral animals, they kill for a purpose, not for sheer pleasure, like this creep tried to do!
