Nathan Brown signs with Huddersfield

Outgoing St George Illawarra coach Nathan Brown will continue coaching his career in the UK, after signing a three-year deal to take the reins at Super League club Huddersfield.

Brown had been searching for a coaching position since being told his contract with the Dragons would not be renewed, and remained steadfast in his desire to continue coaching at the top level.

“I have always said I wanted to be a career coach and this is a good opportunity for me to continue as a head coach,” said Brown.

The move represents a major change for Brown, who has been involved with the Dragons in either a playing or coaching capacity for the last 15 years.

“Huddersfield will be a new challenge for me and an exciting adventure for my family in the UK.

“It is nice to have my future sorted but I am 100% committed to the Dragons season and will be continuing to guide the players towards the finals and hopefully beyond,” said the Dragons mentor.

He will be replaced by Broncos coach Wayne Bennett at the joint venture club next season.
