Court hears horrific details of bodies-in-barrels murders

18/08/2008 12:16:00 PM.  | Emily Smith
A woman has sobbed uncontrollably as a court heard how she murdered a Nowra couple.

Two years ago the bodies of Greg Hosa and his wife Kathryn McKay, were found in smoldering barrels on the NSW south coast.

Mid-way through her trial, Kim Snibson pleaded guilty to murdering the pair.

Two men, Andrew Flentjar and Stacey Lea Caton have already been jailed for their role in the horrific fatal attacks.

Lea Caton has told the court at Snibson’s sentencing hearing, that after luring the couple to her home, they were set upon, hog tied and gagged.

The court has also heard that once tied up, Snibson suffocated Ms McKay to death, before strangling Mr Hosa with wire.

Considering this grusome murder occurred in Australia, I imagine she will get at least three years in prison. What, with time served, she'll be out next year, right? Lucky for her she didn't do these horrendous crimes in Texas or Florida. They'll zap your butt in a New York minute there. They don't fool around with murders in those two states. It's sad for me to say my state of California is as wish-washy liberal as your country when it comes to the death penalty.
