Call Girls get outing on TV

21/08/2008 11:27:00 AM.  | Tim Brunero
Forget Bridget Jones’s maudlin diary, the secret diary of call girl “Belle” is bound to be much more saucy and it’s about to arrive in your living room, in TV form of course.

The new show, based on the blog of a real London escort, follows the life of Belle, an independent and witty young woman who genuinely loves her job.

Belle, played by the gorgeous Billie Piper, takes us on a tantalising adventure into one of the oldest professions in the world and we follow her as he prepares for her trysts, meeting clients and seeing how she handles them.

Her business is to understand what her clients want and deliver it on the double.

But Belle leads a double life. She keeps her call girl life secret from those she is closest to. Her parents, Gail and Niall, and even her best friend Ben all believe she’s Hannah, a night-time legal secretary – whatever that is.

Balancing her two different identities is, of course, where the drama comes in.

Already the Brit’s are going mental over the carnal story - it's in its second season in the UK.

Channel Nine’s publicity department also seems to be in a lather over the program, describing the series as “arousing”, “eye opening” and “stimulating”.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl premieres on Tuesday, September 2 at 10.30pm on Channel Nine.
