Ramsay's potty-mouth causes drama for Nine

28/08/2008 9:00:00 PM.  | Nick Markham
Channel 9 has come under fire from the media watchdog, after incorrectly classifying an episode of foul-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay's show Kitchen Nightmares.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) found Channel Nine in South Australia incorrectly classified an episode in March.

The station gave the episode an M classification, but according to ACMA, the episode should have been given an MA classification due to coarse language.

"ACMA found that the program contained both aggressive coarse language and very coarse language, neither of which is permitted in M-classified programs,'' the ACMA statement said.

ACMA said Nine conceded and "have confirmed that the very coarse language contained in the program will not be broadcast in any future programs''.

The incident is just one of a number of complaints ACMA is investigating about the TV show featuring Ramsay.

Bit dumb to blame Channel Nine when NWS9 Adelaide is owned by regional network WIN and not PBL Media. Blame WIN not Nine.

Ok, I will. I stayed up all night wondering where to place the blame.

They should've done the same thing with "Australia's Naughtiest Home Videos" last night.
