Madonna music helps Guy Ritchie concentrate

Guy Ritchie plays Madonna songs on set.

The 'Snatch' director - who is married to the 50-year-old singer - can't resist listening to his spouse's hit tracks to help him concentrate at work.

Gerard Butler, who stars in Guy's new film 'RocknRolla', said: "He doesn't want to admit it but he plays her music all the time. We were going always going crazy on set to 'Holiday' and 'Vogue'."

Guy, who was also being interviewed on BBC Radio 1, did not comment on Gerard's admission, only adding: "Moving swiftly on."

After Gerard opted to play Madonna's hit track 'Lucky Star' during the interview, Guy said: "Now that is a good tune, and I don't care what you say."

Gerard's 'RocknRolla' co-star Thandie Newton recently revealed she refused to film her sex scene with the Scottish actor because he was ill.

The 35-year-old actress - who plays stunning accountant Stella in the new movie - insisted the scene didn't involve her kissing him after she realised how sick Gerard was.

Thandie said: "I arrived on set for the sex scene to find Gerry was very unwell indeed. So I wouldn't kiss him.

"Guy had to improvise. I don't know how he coped with those problems but it ended up being one of the most brilliant scenes. But I did find it challenging having to climax in a close-up to camera."
