Ellen DeGeneres wants to name child "Jumbo Shrimp"

8/09/2008 11:58:00 AM.  | Jesse Perez

The current trend of absurd baby names has had some serious mickey taken out of it by comedian Ellen DeGeneres – with the talk host suggesting she name her first child with Portia De Rossi “Jumbo Shrimp”.

The couple, who married earlier last month, have discussed their intention to have children, but when it came to baby names it looks like they could be going down a more traditional path.

"We've thought of names, ironically ... Jumbo Shrimp is good.” the talk show host told Extra.

After spending time with her friends Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdales’s family, DeGeneres took a dig at their choice to name their newly born child Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.

"I was holding Zuma this weekend. And all I kept doing was [singing] 'All I want to do is a Zuma Zuma zoom and shake your rump."

Dear Ellen, sorry to shatter your dreams of "fatherhood" but in order to have a child, you need to marry a man. Maybe you still believe in the stork that delivers babies but Ellen, you need to HAVE SEX WITH A MAN to have a child.
