SBS gives political geeks high powered gabfest

In news sure to warm the hearts of political nerds across the nation SBS has announced it will screen the US vice presidential debate live in early October.

Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee Joseph Biden will take up the cudgels against Republican nominee Sarah Palin on domestic and foreign policy.

Expectation over the coming American presidential election has been rising to fever pitch with many pundits calling it the most exciting and important election in a generation.

World News Australia will broadcast the debate live and commercial-free in the eastern states.

It will be concluded with local analysis by expert Australian commentators.  It will also be screened live on www.sbs.com.au

American Decides: The Vice-Presidential Debate 2008 will be aired at 10.55am on Friday October 3rd.
