Shane Crawford will play another year

16/10/2008 2:14:00 PM.  | AAP
Decorated Hawthorn veteran Shane Crawford will play on for one more AFL season.

The 34-year-old, who played in the Hawks' premiership this season in his 305th game, has been offered a one-year extension to his contract.

While Crawford and the Hawks are yet to agree to terms on the deal, he has told the club he wants to play on for an 18th year.

Crawford had been weighing up his future since the grand final victory, after being restricted to 14 games this season, including the Hawks' three finals, by a knee injury.

The Hawks also today announced the delisting of retired defender Danny Jacobs, along with Tim Clarke, Zac Dawson, Luke McEntee and Garry Moss.

They elevated forward Cameron Stokes from the rookie list to the senior list.
