A severe weather warning for Queensland's southeast corner has been cancelled.
The Bureau of Meteorology had predicted winds of up to 90km/h for the southeast coast, southern Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt regions tonight but downgraded its forecast shortly after 6pm (AEST).
Gusty conditions, including winds of between 50km/h and 70km/h are expected to continue throughout the night and into tomorrow as a trough system crosses the coast.
However, the bureau said it did not expect the winds to be damaging.
The State Emergency Service reminded people in the affected area to pay particular attention to any debris from previous storms that might cause injury or damage and beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
