There is good news on the two children abducted from Sydney's south west overnight, with the children returned home safely.
Their 37-year-old father allegedly took the children, aged two and six, from the home on Lawrence Street, Fairfield about 8am Saturday.
They were dropped off at the same address after their abduction sparked a massive man hunt.
Police issued an amber alert, plastering a description of the vehicle, a grey coloured Suzuki Vitara, in which the children were taken in across RTA signs throughout Sydney.
The children are with their mother, while police are still searching for the father, who fled the scene.
Police have been in contact with the man via mobile phone for the last 24 hours.
He is described as Indian, of medium build and about 165 centimetres tall.
The children appear to be unharmed, despite reports the father made threats against their safety, but will be checked over by ambulance officers as a precautionary measure.
