A man faces dozens of charges over a spate of sex offences, including nine involving indecent acts with children, committed at bus stops in Melbourne's east.
Police say the offences were committed on lone females at bus stops at several locations - including Wantirna, Rowville, Malvern, Glen Waverley, Hawthorn, Syndal and Dingley Village, since April this year.
Knox detectives arrested a man at a bus stop at Rowville at two o'clock (AEDT) yesterday afternoon.
They will allege he was engaging in wilful and obscene exposure when he was arrested.
The 44-year-old Springvale man was charged with 23 counts of wilful and obscene exposure, nine of committing an indecent act with a child under 16 years, one of indecent assault, one of loitering as a convicted sex offender, and three minor traffic offences.
The man has been remanded in custody pending a court hearing.
